Our Seafood Quality Guarantee

At Bay Crawlers, we take pride in delivering seafood that is carefully prepared, properly packaged, and shipped with food safety in mind. Our guarantee is built around quality at shipment, proper handling, and clear customer responsibilities.

What We Guarantee

We guarantee that all Seafood Shipped Nationwide orders:

  • Are prepared as described on the product page (steamed or frozen)

  • Are commercially sealed in food-grade packaging

  • Are packed with insulation and gel packs designed for perishable shipping

  • Are shipped through FedEx via ShipStation using the shipping method selected at checkout

Every order is packed to maintain quality during transit when handled according to instructions.

Steamed vs. Frozen Products

  • Steamed products are cooked, sealed, and packaged for shipping.

  • Frozen products are sealed and shipped frozen.

Preparation type is clearly labeled on each product page. Net weights refer to the seafood only and do not include packaging or cooling materials.

Customer Responsibilities Upon Delivery

To maintain quality, customers must:

  • Be available to receive perishable shipments

  • Open packages immediately upon delivery

  • Refrigerate or freeze products promptly based on preparation type

Bay Crawlers is not responsible for quality issues caused by delayed receipt, improper storage, or missed deliveries.

Delivery & Carrier Responsibility

Once your order is handed off to FedEx, delivery timing and handling are the responsibility of the carrier.

Bay Crawlers is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather

  • Mechanical or operational carrier issues

  • Address errors provided at checkout

  • Extended delivery areas or carrier rerouting

If There Is an Issue

If your order arrives damaged or compromised:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Provide photos of the packaging and contents for review

Claims submitted outside this timeframe may not be eligible for resolution.

Each claim is reviewed individually. Approved resolutions may include replacement or store credit at our discretion.

What Is Not Covered

Our guarantee does not cover:

  • Shipping delays outside our control

  • Orders left unattended after delivery

  • Improper storage after delivery

  • Minor temperature fluctuations during transit

  • Personal taste preferences
